Advance Classification and Cataloguing Training

The National Library has conducted a workshop on advance classification and cataloguing.

The workshop was designed for the technical librarians to develop their number building skills using Dewey Decimal Classification Table 1, Descriptive Cataloguing, and Machine Readable Cataloguing 21 (MARC 21) Standard. Training was conducted from 23 to 25 August 2016 at the Institute of Library and Information Services, National Library. Delivery of the training was carried out by Ms. Aminath Shiuna.

A total of 14 participants from school libraries, college libraries and other organisations completed the workshop.
